One day last October I went out to a pond where I had been observing and photographing Wood Ducks from a blind. On this afternoon the ducks were not coming out to their usual location. I had to trudge through thick brush and briars but eventually found a group of ducks. By this time the light was on the other side of the ducks but I really liked the blue hues that resulted from the shade as well as the new setting. October 2014
